1 SERVING = 1/2 CUP = ???

Under the “5 Servings of Fruits & Vegetables a Day” a serving is generally 1/2 cup.

Apples

Apple — 1 large (3.25″ diameter) apple counts as 4 servings


1 small (2.5″ diameter) apple counts as 2 servings

Applesauce — 1 snack container of applesauce

Banana — 1 small (less than 6″ long) banana is 1 serving

1 large banana (8″ to 9″) is 2 servings

Cantaloupe — 1 medium wedge of cantaloupe

Clementine — 3 Clementines count as 2 servings

Dried fruit — 1/4 c

grapefruit

Grapes — 16 seedless grapes

Grapefruit — 1/2 grapefruit

Juice, 100% juice — 1/2 cup

Kiwi — 1 large kiwi



Mango — 1 large mango is approximately 3 servings

Nectarine — 1 fruit (2-1/2″ diameter) counts as 2 servings

Orange — 1 small orange (2-3/8″ diameter)

Peach — 1 small peach (2″ diameter)

Pineapple — 1 slice (3-1/2″ dia x 3/4″ thick) // 1/2 cup diced

Plum — 1 large plum

Raisins — 1 small box

Rambutan — 7 rambutan

Strawberries — 4 large strawberries

Tangerine — 1 medium tangerine

Watermelon — 6 melon balls is 1 serving // 1 small wedge is 2 servings
